Girls on the Run of Dane County seeks nominations or applications for membership on the Board of Directors throughout the year. Directors commit to at least a 2-year term and provide support to the organization through board meetings, committee work, assisting with council fundraising efforts and by making a personal financial contribution. The Board of Directors provides strategic direction to our dynamic and growing organization.
Currently, the Board is seeking new directors who are connected to the Madison Metropolitan School District, the Madison-area media or some of Dane Countys largest employers.
Generally, we ask that interested candidates have a firm grasp of the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Girls on the Run and our local council. Previous service to GOTR of Dane County by volunteering or serving on a board committee is preferred, before applying to the board. This service provides the candidate valuable information about GOTR and allows both the candidate and the board to work together prior to formal board consideration.
