All smiles at the Spring 2011 Komen Madison Race for the Cure 5K

Spring 2012:

Online registration opens on Monday, February 27 at 8:00 a.m. Space is limited and enrollment is strictly first-come, first-served.

Our 10-week spring Girls on the Run (3rd-5th grade) and Girls on Track (6th - 8th grade) programs begin the week of March 26 and run through the first week of June when the girls participate in the inaugural Spring Girls on the Run 5K on Saturday, June 9th.  This race is open to the public and promises to be another fun celebration of the girls - join us for this new event!

Monday/Wednesday programs begin on Monday, March 26
Tuesday/Thursday programs begin on Tuesday, March 27
(schools with spring break occuring the week of April 2 will not meet this week)

*No sessions will be held on Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day)

Girls on the Run is a unique program, and we are truly honored that many of our past participants want to return a second or even a third time! However, we also strive to offer GOTR to as many girls as possible throughout Dane County, so we do not offer priority registration to alumni.

Should your site of choice be full, you may register for the Waiting List for that location. This does NOT ensure a spot, but you will be notified if an opening occurs. We will accept up to 5 families on each waiting list, after which that site's wait list will close. Due to the popularity of our program, we will be unable to honor waiting list requests if you register for a different site. Once registered, participants are not able to switch programs.

It is our mission to provide access to a Girls on the Run program to every 3rd through 5th grade girl in the Dane County community by 2020, and we appreciate your help as we continually strive to reach this goal.

Scholarship assistance is available for those who qualify. Click here for complete fee and scholarship information.

Our coaches are volunteers and some sites may still have coaching needs. If interested in learning more about joining our coaching ranks, please check our Get Involved page, or contact us for more information. Unfortunately, program sites may be canceled due to lack of coaching support.

*Girls on the Run of Dane County is unable to provide afterschool care before any program's scheduled starting time. Girls may not be left unsupervised, under any circumstances.
